Marketing Materials Review

Any sales agent creating their own marketing material should submit the copy to their hierarchy for a review by their Compliance Department.
Marketing material will be studied to ensure compliance within CMS’ Medicare Marketing Guidelines. The Compliance Department’s assessment will include;
- Distribution during the Annual Election Period (AEP) and not prior to October 1st.
- Content accuracy; material is not misleading, nor does it provide misrepresentations
- Generic in nature
- All applicable guidelines and regulations are satisfied (including disclaimers)
- Generally, the Compliance Department will not review marketing materials for typographical or grammatical errors, unless such errors cause the material(s) to be innaccurate or misleading.
Upon marketing material approval, the Compliance Department will return to the hierarchy and the agent for their field use.
